Testing a life boat in the Schie
Posted on 1 August 2013
Last week, Zwatra transported a life boat from Rotterdam to Delft. This order was given by Willem Pot. After the boat arrived, the boat was let to water and they could test it in the Schie.
Willem Pot B.V (www.willempot.com) is a member of the Umoe Schat Harding Group, and delivers several products and services for the shipping and offshore sector. Its wide product range also includes used life boats. One of Willem Pot’s customers gave the organization the order to test a life boat. Willem Pot chose to test the boat in the river De Schie in Delft.
Zwatra has taken care of the transport for Willem Pot’s boats for years. It goes without saying that Zwatra also took care of the transport of this boat. After the boat arrived in Delft, it was let to water by using a truck with mounted crane. Once the boat got in the water, the testing could begin.
Zwatra used a truck with a 74 tm mounted crane for this transport. After finishing the testing, Zwatra took care of the transport back to Rotterdam.
Zwatra Transport has access to a broad vehicle fleet, including rigid trucks with a loading crane. These trucks allow drivers to load and unload a vehicle without any other help. These vehicles also allow drivers to perform lifting activities. Needless to say, our drivers all have the necessary certificates to do these activities. Our drivers are 24/7 available to Willem Pot and all other customers, national and international.
